This is the showroom renovation project for "B&B Italia Osaka," the first street-level store in the Kansai region for the world-renowned modern furniture brand, B&B Italia.
ANDas was responsible for the Design Planning and Interior Construction.
Based on the design concept supervised by Artistic Director Piero Lissoni, we materialized a meticulously calculated space where plastered floors harmonize with various materials, beautifully highlighting the iconic furniture.
By renovating the first and second floors of a nine-story building, we have constructed a luxurious showroom where visitors can fully experience the brand's innovative and contemporary charm.

Challenges: The Rigorous Quality Standards of B&B Italia
and the Hurdles of Domestic Construction.

The greatest mission of this project was to adapt the Italian-specified materials designated by B&B Italia for the Japanese market, and to obtain the strict quality check and approval from the Headquarters.
Furthermore, with only three construction companies in the Kansai region capable of handling the specified special wall and floor finishing materials, it was a major challenge to coordinate within a limited budget and timeframe while ensuring the high quality demanded by the brand.

Concept: A Sophisticated, Luxury Space
Where the Furniture Takes Center Stage.

The theme was to embody a "luxury space showroom."

We aimed to create a space with an emphasis on the texture of every detail, ensuring that the plastered floors harmonize beautifully with diverse materials, and that products such as sofas and tables stand out to their fullest within the scene-specific spaces.

Solutions: Meticulous Prior Coordination
and a Unified Team Construction Structure.

When installing the highly difficult specified materials, we collaborated closely with specialized contractors to achieve both rigorous quality control and schedule management.

Additionally, since the site was located in an actively operating building with a dental clinic, a bank, and a beauty salon on the upper floors, we thoroughly conducted prior discussions and schedule adjustments with the building management and other tenants regarding noise, vibration, and odors caused by the construction.

By overcoming numerous hurdles as a united team with our partner contractors, we successfully delivered a premium space within the planned timeframe.

That Embodies the Brand Image.

We successfully obtained the approval of B&B Italia Headquarters and realized beautiful wall and floor finishes using the specified materials.
We have received high praise from the client for completing the project on schedule despite the difficult conditions, as well as for the meticulous finish.
As a new Kansai hub offering comprehensive spatial planning, a space that contributes to the further enhancement of the brand image has been completed.
